Who is Trudi, The Next Action Coach?

Hi, I'm Trudi L. White, M.A. - THE Next Action Coach! So you're probably wondering who I am and what I'm all about right? Simply put, I'm a woman who has spent my life on a quest for growth. That includes getting a Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology from USM (University of Santa Monica). But the real Trudi also includes so much more. I did the right thing until I reached my mid thirties. I went to college - got a good corporate job and worked my way up the ladder. I took the recommended self-development education classes. I joined toastmasters. I volunteered for committees. I knew I'd made it when I got into the upper 5% of management at the large corporation founded on small town values. I moved for the promotion. I traveled the country. I managed, I trained, I reported. Somehow, it wasn't enough. I still wasn't that connected to Trudi. Eventually I began to explore the options for starting my own business. But since I was traveling over 200 days a year, often working 70+ hours a week, there was little time for me to start something just for me. Finally there came a time when I could not ignore the call for "something more" any longer. After over 16 years in my good safe job, I took advantage of a restructuring in the organization and left my secure position. And when I say secure, I'm talking about a company that from the 1920's until the 1990'’s had a reputation for never laying anyone off. So now, I was on my own, left to follow the call. What now? I had already been exploring my spiritual side. I had been meditating and done some self-help work. I had always been addicted to tape programs and self-development. But what would happen, if I worked on my self full time. (I hate that phrase - Working on my self? Anyway sometimes it fits) I went on a whirlwind of self-discovery. I enrolled in a degree program dedicated to working my process and achieving self-mastery. I did several intense 3 day to 1-week programs on subjects including everything from physical healing to opening my heart, to becoming fearless, to writing. I joined business programs and took programs on developing a prosperity consciousness. I became a vegetarian. I journaled. I wrote a book. I went on meditation and yoga retreats. I even got the Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology. My journey took me to the desert, the mountains, the forest and the ocean. At one time I self-identified as a dread-locked, Birkenstock wearing vegetarian. Other times I've described myself as having my feet on the ground and my head in the clouds. But now I've discovered that I don't want to be locked into any of those labels. Some may still be accurate descriptions - depending on the moment and my mood. But mostly I see myself as ever-changing and growing as I learn to appreciate the contrast more and more. This site and my novel are a really good example of what Trudi is all about.
